How to design a Mother board

Design of motherboard:

             The mother board providing a electrical connections by which other components communicate system. It also contains the central processing unit i.e CPU. The central processing unit is host a other systems

               The typical computer desktop has microprocessor; main memory and finally other essential components connected to the motherboard. The external components such as external storage controllers for video display and sound  may be attached to the motherboard as plug in cards in modern computers. the mother board increasingly common to integrate some peripherls these into the mother board itself.

                Mother board is important component of the microprocessor supporting chip set. Which provides the supporting inter faces between the central processing unit and the various buses and external components.

The modern motherboard include:

• slots or sockets in which one or more microprocessor may be installed
• the case of cpu in BGA package such as the C3 VIA. the CPU is directly soldered to the mothe board.
• The Chip set forms an inter faces between the cpu front side bus and the main memory.
• Flash ROM are Non volatile memory in modern mother boards containing system firmware or BIOS.
• sockets for expansion cards.

The power connectors receive electrical power from the computer power supply.
