CONTROL PROCESSOR OF KEY BOARD

       it include a control circuitry to converts key press into key codes that the computer understand electronics. the key switches are connected via the printed circuit board in an electrical x y matrix where the voltage is provided correctly to the Y lines. And when a key is depressed and detected sequencially by scanning X lines.




        1st computer keyboards were for mainframe computer data terminals and used discrete electronic parts. The 1st keyboard microprocessor using the single chip that is 8048 micro controller variant. For a detached keyboard, sends the codes down a serial cable to the main processor on the mother board of computer.

Then available rollover of key was optimized by analyzing the most common key sequences and placing these keys so that they do not potentially produce phantom keys in the electrical key matrix.
